Elizabeth W. Acly, PE
Principal, Structural Engineer
Fresh out of graduate school, Beth’s first place of employment was at a structural engineering consulting firm just outside Cambridge, England. She became fascinated with the historic buildings all around her, and began to steer her career toward historic building restoration, and adaptive re-use and renovation of existing buildings. Now, after two decades in the business, Beth has significant experience in the analysis and design of structures, both new and existing. She is proficient in using visual, numeric and computer analysis techniques and modeling analyses.
Beth has an adventurous spirit grounded by a strong work ethic. Her passion for history, health, cooking and animals is enhanced by a love for movement (CrossFit, skiing, biking and horseback riding) with her husband and kids. Cirrus’ Core Values morphed from her own thoughtful and collaborative approach, commitment to community, fascination with history and materials, and drive to be a lifelong learner.

Shortly after completing her BS in civil engineering with a minor in architecture, Olga realized that she wanted to focus on the renovation and restoration of historic structures. While working in a building technology group centered on building envelopes, she pursued further studies attaining a master’s degree in building conservation. Over the last 10+ years, Olga’s expertise has grown to include the study, documentation and preservation of historic buildings. Her experience ranges from historic research, in-field building envelope evaluations, compilation of study reports, design work for treatment, preparation of construction documents, and oversight of projects through construction. While spending much of her time working with buildings, Olga also loves to travel and explore historic sites worldwide.

After stints in civil drafting, graphic design, and paint & decorating sales, Penny found her niche as a structural drafter in 2003. She has worked with Beth for over 10 years and shares her interest in the restoration and renovation of historic buildings as well as a passion for history.
When not working, Penny spends her time dealing with the never-ending tasks that come with owning an old house, reading, and doing genealogical research. In warm sunny weather, she can be found kayaking on the rivers near her home.

After watching the Cirrus team really listen to their clients’ needs and provide customized, modern solutions for the rehabilitation and renovation of historic structures, Tia has developed an interest in New England’s rich architectural history and has switched gears to pursue training in the construction industry.
